The Art My Word gallery for 2023 is a pop up gallery exhibiting the art and work of artists who took on the challenge to create work inspired by a book chosen at random. Unique art, from amazing artists, created with no restrictions to medium, size or inspiration. Writers were also challenged - to put words to photographs contributed by island photographers.
This exhibition is unlike anything you have seen before.
On Friday, the cocktail event is the premiere fundraiser for the Macleay Island Community Library providing an entertaining, engaging and fascinating evening. Saturday is focussed on families. Sunday and Monday events encourage budding writers.
The event is particularly structured to encourage visitors to take the short ferry trip to Macleay Island - with the pop up gallery just a short walk up from the ferry (GoCards work), close to local eateries and nearby beaches to explore.
